TRUMP’S NEW TARIFF SHIFT: A STRATEGIC WIN FOR BRAZIL? The global trade landscape has just shifted. As of this Tuesday (24th), President Trump’s new 15% global tariff on imports has officially taken effect. This policy replaces the aggressive 40% surtax imposed in 2025 and is set to remain in place for 150 days. While experts describe the new measure as "fragile," it represents a massive opportunity for the Brazilian market. The Key Highlights: The 15% Global Rule: The drastic reduction from 40% to 15% marks a strategic pivot in U.S. trade policy, aiming to balance domestic protection with global supply chain realities. Brazil’s Strategic Advantage: Analysts point out that Brazil is uniquely positioned to fill the gap. With American importers seeking more competitive prices outside the high-tariff zones, Brazilian commodities and manufactured goods are becoming the top choice for U.S. partners. A 150-Day Window: This temporary policy creates a "gold rush" for international trade. Companies have five months to capitalize on these new margins before the policy is reviewed. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/noticias-do-governo--6004127/support.
