# 🎙️ Episode 164 — Rose WangIn this episode of the OsProgramadores Podcast, Marcelo sits down with Rose Wang, Chief Operating Officer of Bluesky, for a wide-ranging conversation about career, social networks, decentralization, online communities, artificial intelligence, and the future of the Internet.Rose brings a particularly interesting perspective to the conversation: her career has taken her from entrepreneurship and customer experience to technology leadership and, today, helping operate one of the most talked-about open social networks.---# 👩‍💼 About the GuestRose Wang is the Chief Operating Officer of Bluesky, the open social network built around the AT Protocol. Her career has included entrepreneurship, customer experience, technology, and operations, giving her a diverse perspective on how technology products are built and how communities grow.At Bluesky, Rose works on the strategy and operations behind an alternative vision for social networking—one where users and communities can have more choice and control over how social experiences are built.Bluesky's approach is closely connected to the AT Protocol, an open protocol designed to support a more distributed social ecosystem rather than putting the entire experience under the control of a single platform.---# 💬 In This EpisodeDuring our conversation, we talk about:👩‍💼 Rose's career journey that led her to Bluesky🦋 What Bluesky is trying to build🌐 Social networks and how they have changed the way we communicate🔓 Decentralization and what it means in practice🏘️ The importance of communities in online spaces🧩 The AT Protocol and the idea of an open social ecosystem🤖 Artificial Intelligence and its impact on social networks💼 Career advice for people who want to follow a similar path🚀 Entrepreneurship, experimentation, and taking unconventional career paths📚 Learning from different industries and experiencesAnd much more!---# 🦋 Why Bluesky? One of the central ideas behind Bluesky is that social networking doesn't necessarily have to mean giving a single company complete control over the platform, algorithms, moderation systems, and user experience. The project aims to create an ecosystem where different applications, communities, feeds, and moderation approaches can coexist. That raises some fascinating questions:Who owns your social graph?Who decides what you see?Who controls moderation? Can communities have more control over the spaces they create? These are not simply technical questions—they are questions about the future of the Internet and the communities we build on it.---# 🔗 Links🔗 Rose Wang on LinkedInhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/rosewang20/🦋 Rose Wang on Bluesky — Business Profilehttps://bsky.app/profile/rose.bsky.team🦋 Blueskyhttps://bsky.app/🌐 AT Protocolhttps://atproto.com/🌍 OsProgramadores Websitehttps://osprogramadores.com📺 OsProgramadores YouTube Channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@OsProgramadores🎧 OsProgramadores on Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/💬 OsProgramadores Telegram Grouphttps://t.me/osprogramadores---# 🎧 Enjoy the Episode! If you're interested in **technology, social networks, decentralization, online communities, AI, entrepreneurship, or building a career in tech**, this is an episode you don't want to miss. And if you've ever wondered whether there is a different way to build social networks—and a different way to build your own career—this conversation with Rose Wang is a great place to start.🦋 **Listen, share, and join the conversation!**#OsProgramadores #Podcast #Bluesky #SocialNetworks #Decentralization #OpenSource #ATProtocol #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #Technology #Software #TechCareer #Community
