The eternal suicide of pop music (#115)

Notas do episódio

In this short audiovisual I mention the lyrics of songs that predominated in pop music in the US-GB language after the 1990s, eternally introspective existential song lyrics full of mismatches, consistent with the daily life of the rotating capitalism, but apparently the musical actors of the beige human race they couldn't or wanted to get out of that eternal suicide, wailing, wailing, wailing, I don't believe it's the fault of the Sun or some black hole, meanwhile the vocalists and dancers of the brown human race if they didn't go inside some evangelical church continued boasting ostentatiously suggesting that they are the new emerging middle class and that the means justify the end, all very boring indeed, but the most interesting thing about it all is the public support, apparently enjoying it and even going to public events of those actors musicians after 9/11 it became not only nationalistic but also patriotic, apparently it will not be an epidemic nor a pandemic would put an end to that capitalist imperialism. In the midst of all that eternally boring existential whining there are musical actresses, and also musical actors, who managed to put some major chords, colors, and super productions for yet another new standard of visual quality unattainable for the most disadvantaged artists, antidepressant musical actresses and actors like P!nk, Kate Perry, Coldplay, even skinny Dua Lipa, ... historic, remembering and inserting Billy Idol and his faithful guitarist into the good part of it, but most of the public likes what's on top of the evidence, and the press can maneuver or not for that to happen. Honestly? I still prefer Iggy Pop singing songs from The Stooges and Iggy and The Stooges era, also that huge list of songs and bands that knew how to make the most of their time when they were young musicians, not actors.
