In today's readings, we are reminded of the importance of our response to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. The stubbornness and resistance of the people in the first reading led to their rejection of the prophets and their betrayal of the Just One. Let us not be like them, but rather, let us open our hearts to the guidance of the Spirit. The psalmist places his trust in God, surrendering his spirit into His hands. In doing so, he finds refuge and salvation.
