SUCCESSFUL IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD - PR. JONATHAN WICKBOLDT

Notas do episódio

Yes! This past Sunday we began a Sermon on the Mount series taught by our Pastor Jonathan Wickboldt. We were strongly edified by the word of Matthew 5. The Lord led us to teach that we can only find complete Happiness in the principles that Jesus left us. The blessed person is one who is happy, fortunate or privileged by God. And the beatitudes include 8 very important points that to achieve this complete happiness we must possess, write them down: 1- Being poor in Spirit: Being poor in Spirit is recognizing our total dependence on God. It means recognizing our faults. 2- Cry: even in the midst of difficulties, we can still express feelings. Sadness generates repentance for our sins, so God consoles us with His forgiveness. 3- Being humble: having a teachable heart, understanding that our gifts and talents come from God. 4- Hunger and thirst for justice: have a great desire to know and do God’s will. 5- Exercising Mercy: is treating a person with more compassion than they may deserve. Just as Jesus had compassion for us and gave himself out of love for us, even though we didn't deserve it. 6- The pure in heart: only those who accept being purified by Jesus can see God. Nothing unclean can enter the presence of God. 7- Being a peacemaker: it is a gift, of helping people to come to a common sense where there are different opinions. 8- Suffering: this is also included in the blessings when we defend and obey Jesus, therefore we are not exempt from suffering. However, we must always remember that the suffering of now will never be compared with the Glory that will come. By developing these qualities that Jesus teaches us, we can achieve true happiness!
