The numbers that demonstrate the growth of the aesthetics market in Brazil are impressive. Between 2014 and 2019 alone, the segment grew 567% in Brazil. In the period, according to data from the Brazilian Association of the Personal Hygiene, Perfumery and Cosmetics Industry (ABIHPEC), the number of professionals in the area increased from 72 thousand to more than 480 thousand. Performed by dentists, facial harmonization services have also been offered by orthodontic clinics. This is the case of Ortolook, a carioca network of orthodontics and facial aesthetics. The company, inaugurated in 2018, is part of the Conatus Group and was born with a focus on orthodontic appliances. Today, it has 20 units in the state of Rio de Janeiro and started to serve on both fronts. The network foresees further expansion in the coming years and, through the investment boutique L6 Capital, is seeking investments to accelerate this process. “We have seen an exponential revenue curve in facial matching and are planning a strong expansion next year. We are sure that, with more cash, this expansion will be much faster”, says Lucas Munhoz, CEO of Grupo Conatus.
