My name is Laura. I am from 9th grade. my topic is What are percussion instruments? Percussion instruments are instruments that when you shake them, hit them with your hands or mallets, they make a sound. These instruments form the biggest family of instruments. If they can play different musical notes, they are pitched, if can’t, they are unpitched so we classify them like this. The membranophones make a sound when we strike membanes with our hands or a mallet and its membranes can be made of leather or synthetic materials. The idiophones are musical instruments that when their own body vibrates it produces a sound and this happened when we shake or hit them.
