In this special episode, Ishare the reading of two poems that celebrate and question our democracy: "Red Carnations" and "Conditional Freedom". These are"Historyems" that remind us that freedom is not a given, but aconstant struggle. 💋 ———————————————————— 💋 [EN] English Translation (To follow the liveperformance): Red Carnations At the point of rifles, flowers instead ofbullets, Red carnations, symbol of new beginnings. Celeste Caeiro, with a simple gesture, Distributed freedom in such a beautiful act. Red of passion, courage and fervour, Colour that painted the streets with love. April blossomed in every heart With carnations that sealed the liberation. Today, on ourchests, we carry this flower, Living memory of the people and their clamour.Red carnations, eternal reminders, That freedom must continue to be cultivated. Conditional Freedom Freedom, a conquest so longdesired, Is not a gift, but a continuous fight. In times of uncertainty and oppression, It is necessary to keep the revolution alive. The values of April are not the past, They are lighthouses in a world of turmoil. Democracy, justice and dignity Must be defended with tenacity. Let us not take for granted what is precious, For Freedom is a rare asset. May every gesture, word, and action Reflect the spirit of April in every generation. 💋 ———————————————————— 💋 PT: Vê o vídeo da performance e lê os poemas no meu blogue: EN: Watch the performance video and read the poemson my blog: 🔗 https://blog.poesiasdanono.com/2026/04/serie-encontros-com-poesia-da-nono.html PT: ✨ Gratidão e Beijos Poéticos EN: ✨ Gratitude and Poetic Kisses M.ª Leonor Costa (Poesias da Nonô)
