Notas do episódio

💡 Imagine you're in a café, sitting at the next table, overhearing two people in a passionate conversation. That's how we want you to feel with every episode. Jorge Cunha and Julien Coquet talk about the changing role of analytics in the age of AI, with a strong focus on where LLMs help, where they fail, and why domain knowledge still matters. Julien shares his perspective from 26 years in digital analytics, agencies, and technical implementation work, while Jorge explores how AI may reshape junior and senior roles in analytics teams. We discuss how AI can accelerate small tasks and surface gaps, but still struggles with context, causation, and large-scale project choreography. The conversation also touches on career longevity, curiosity, books, and why strong analytics work still depends on asking better business questions. You’ll hear Julien unpack: why AI is powerful but not intelligent in the way people assume how LLMs break down on nuanced, company-specific, or “tribal” knowledge the difference between using AI as a shortcut and using it as an assistant why senior analysts ask better questions than junior analysts how prompt convenience can make teams lazy instead of faster why AI still struggles with large-scale analytics projects, dependencies, and changing requirements Julien also shares his perspective on the future of analytics roles, the risk of losing junior pipelines, and why the best practitioners will be the ones who keep questioning outputs instead of trusting them blindly. Along the way, he recommends foundational analytics books, revisits the importance of curiosity, and explains why staying sharp is part of staying relevant.
