Squares Series | Felipe De Vicente

Notas do episódio

Squares is a series by the artist Felipe De Vicente, which aims to work on the concept of the square as a visual and chromatic poetics, delimited by the spectator's sense and perception. Inspired by the series Homage to the Square by Josef Albers, Squares brings pure geometric abstraction and the game of perceptions and color combinations as its main motto. The chromatic game generated by the variation of the checkered geometry provides different sensory apprehensions and diverse symbolic and imagery constructions. The sequences of geometric elements that are repeated, typical of minimalism, instigate the viewer's gaze to reflect on the pure abstract form and its connection with the chromatic elements of the composition.
