The Overlooked Power of Proactive Indicators in HOP

Notas do episódio

In this episode, we dive deep into the importance of proactive indicators in Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) and explore why many companies fail to value them. We discuss how organizations often focus too much on reactive indicators—like incident rates—which only tell us what went wrong, instead of addressing potential issues before they escalate. You’ll learn the difference between proactive and reactive indicators, why proactive safety measures are often underestimated, and the consequences of neglecting them. More importantly, we’ll discuss how shifting our focus to proactive indicators can help prevent accidents and foster a true safety culture within organizations. Join us as we explore how leaders can start prioritizing proactive safety indicators and create environments where prevention is just as important as response.
